Assigning products to specific warehouse locations ensures fast picking, accurate stock management, and reduced search time.
Our web-app makes this process simple and practical, even without a complex WMS.
Step 1 – Import Product and Location Data
Upload your CSV files with product codes and available storage locations.
The system automatically loads them into the interface, ready for assignment.
Step 2 – Select the Product
Choose the product you want to assign from the dropdown list. The list displays both product code and name
for clarity (e.g., P001 – Product A).
Step 3 – Select the Storage Location
Pick the appropriate storage location code from the dropdown (e.g., R01-F02-L01-S01).
- Locations ending with letters (A, B, C…) are treated as picking locations.
- Locations without letters are treated as storage locations.

Step 4 – Save the Assignment
Click Save to confirm the link between product and location. The assignment is stored temporarily in the browser’s memory,
so you can manage multiple products in one session.
Step 5 – Export the File
Once all products are assigned, export the results as a CSV file. This file can be used later in:
- the Simple Warehouse Manager Template,
- stock control processes,
- or integrated into other applications.
Why Product Location Assignment Matters
- Reduces errors in picking and storage.
- Shortens travel time in the warehouse.
- Links product data with physical addresses.
