This template provides a simple and standardized structure for recording daily stock movements in a warehouse.
It is designed for small and medium-sized operations that need a clean and consistent way to log product receipts,
issues, adjustments, and other inventory-related activities.
The file works in any spreadsheet application and can be imported into warehouse tools, databases, or reporting systems.
What This Template Contains
The CSV file includes the following columns:
- Date – The transaction date.
- Product_Code – The unique identifier of the product.
- Product_Name – The full name of the product.
- IN_Qty – Quantity received into stock.
- OUT_Qty – Quantity issued from stock.
- Reference_Document – The related order, invoice, receipt, or internal document.
- Notes – Optional field for comments or clarifications.
This structure allows you to track all stock movements without using initial or final inventory balances.
It can be combined with your preferred reporting method to calculate totals per product, per day, or per period.
How to Use the Template
- Enter one line for each warehouse movement (receipt, picking, return, adjustment).
- Use positive quantities in IN_Qty and OUT_Qty.
- Leave the unused column empty (e.g., for receipts, OUT_Qty should be empty).
- Save the file as CSV when you want to import it into a tool or database.
- Use filters or pivot tables to analyze movements by product, date, or document.
This template keeps the process simple and avoids the complexity of full stock accounting systems,
while still providing enough structure for reporting and audits.
